Resources for the Aspiring Pre-PA Student
What is a Physician Assistant anyways?
A PA is a healthcare provider that works with a supervising physician. A PA is able to diagnose patients, assist in surgery, perform procedures, write prescriptions, and much more.
Why choose PA over MD?
This question is one you are going to hear often as an Aspiring Pre-PA Student and there are many answers you can give to this question.
1) PA School is cheaper and shorter than Medical School
2) Statistically PA's have much higher job satisfaction than MD's
3) It's flexible! As a PA you are able to switch specialties without years of education like an MD would be required to do
4) You are able to work part time if you choose to
5) You don't have to take the MCAT!
6) The job market for PA's is booming and there is a lot of expected growth in the field!
